Best Shinedown Album (18 August 2010)
Been a HUGE SD fan since the very early days. I even saw them play an acoustic set at a local CD store way back before they really made it big. Now to see where they are with thier 3rd album, it's incredible. I told my friends back when we saw that acoustic perfomance (about a few weeks after they released their debut album Leave a Whipser) that this was going to be a HUGE rock band at some point and they were going to be headlining tours all across the world. Well I was right, they have become one of the more successful rock bands of the past decade and they have done it by following one simple plan: MAKE THE MUSIC THE FANS WANT AND STAY TRUE TO YOUR ROOTS! They haven't sold out like alot of bands. They don't make the music just to get it on the radio. They make the music the fuels the fire in their souls and it's completely evident on all of their albums, but especially so on The Sound of Madness. You won't find a song on this album that wouldn't be a #1 hit. They raised the bar so high with this album! And the bonus songs on the newer released version are so good, it made me RE-buy the CD (I got the original release the day it came out) when I noticed they added some bonus tracks that were only downloadable with the full "Deluxe" version download. 100% worth it. You will not be disappointed. And on a different note, if you have a chance to see them live, DO IT! Seen them 8 times and they are one of the best performing rock bands of the last decade!

  Love It! (01 August 2010)
I just went and heard them live last night and got this cd. Loved them live and really better that way. It is to bad that they are not as good on disc for some reason. Band to CD quality I give a 3 because they could have been recorded better but Play list a 5! So 4 overall and still planing to by the other songs too.

  Excellent (23 July 2010)
The first Shinedown album I have ever listened to, but I am definitely going to pick up the rest of them. Good, solid rock sound. This guy can frikin belt it out. His voice is amazing. Start to finish, this album is superb. Ignore the one-star reviews about enhanced cds that don't work right, or people pissed off because they have to listen to the same radio station at work all day long. This record is great. In a time with so much garbage being peddled to us by floundering record companies, a band like this stands out with great music.

  Geat album (17 July 2010)
After hearing one or two songs on the radio, I decided to listen to the whole CD and I was amazed of how well produced their songs are. There wasn't one song I skipped! A must-have for everyone who likes Rock music.
