It was interesting to see and hear some of the old songs and events during that time period. However, when I am purchasing an Andrea Bocceli CD and DVD, that is who I want to see and hear. One of the absolute best CD & DVD of Bocelli (20 December 2008)One of the absolute best CD & DVD of Bocelli. It brings Italy home to your home! Nostalgic for Italy! (16 December 2008)Being of full Italian decent, (a first generation American-Italian on my father's side) I grew up listening to many of these "Napolitan" songs, sung by many different Italian artists, including the late, great Pavarotti. The latter, being the ultimate. However, Bocelli does an equally impressive job on this CD. His voice is rich in tone and at times sounds completely effortless. I have all of his other CD's and they are terrific. This one brings me back to my childhood, as my parents played Italian music constantly. It also makes me long to return to Italy. With that said, any fan of Bocelli's, whether Italian or not will thoroughly enjoy this music and the personal style in which he sings these songs. I highy reccomend this deluxe CD set.
