Green Light has such a nostalgic yet fresh funky sound that you find yourself dancing every time you hear the song. The entire album is an awesome project for those who truly appreciate music and the art of music. Great but forget DVD (06 January 2009)Excellent album. Not quite sure why its called evolver - themes of songs pretty much the same so perhaps referring to melodies. DVD NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!! very lame interview with JL stating the obvious about what his songs mean. no interesting footage. Just catch it on youtube instead. music1love626 (03 January 2009)this is another great album from john legend ......he really put time into it and people need to go out and support a real music artist evolver fllop (26 December 2008)i love john ledgend but i really do think that his attempt to come up with different sounds where horrible in this instance. i liked 1 and a half songs and didn't know that that was possible, was told by several people (whom i didn't know) that it was a good cd but i personally thought it was crap. Just didn't do it for me... (25 December 2008)I believe my old-schoolness is on another level. I can't think of one song on this CD that I actually like. I love John Legend, which is why I gave this CD 2 stars, but I was expecting more. Sorry John, but I still love you! Hope the next one is better! |
