next step in the grow of a good band (06 January 2009)
I first off should say I never thought that I would see this band make it to a third major release, after The Horrible (your mother should b beaten for allowing to make this cd ) last one...This is a well structured cd ,it does lose some steam about four songs in but then picks up and closes strong ..this should of been the second cd or the second cd of atwo disc set for the second release Sams town..then again that one really sucked..Here you hear a growth of the pop sound they are cultivating..that is not bad to call something pop by the way..If you use an i-pod there are enough here to make you happy ,if you are like me and test all music out in the car..it is a really good disc and money well spent..If you are wanting high art rock or head music(i.e radio head or gaslight anthem ,then move on ...if you want a nice change of pace to mix in then here is a cd for you.

It has saxophones (05 January 2009)
In my experience, use of saxophones signifies the end of a rock band's creative days. Hot Fuss was terrific, and I enjoyed the musicality of Sam's Town if not its pretense. This, however, is garbage - a stew of aimless synths and lyrics so bad I can't bring myself to sing along even while alone in the car. Seriously, the words are a combination of cliche and senselessness that could only have been concocted by 1,000 Hindi-speaking chimps on iMacs. Take the worst song on Sam's Town (probably Bones) x 10 and you get Day & Age. Just avoid it.

  Well... (04 January 2009)
ok. i have always find the killers a little... random. thats kidna why i like them so much. this album is prettty darn random. and WIERD. i mean, are we human or are we dancers?? if you like song with meanings that relate to everyday life.... this album was not like that at all to me. i listened to it while doing a billion other stuff. i never just sat down and listened like i do with some other music. its jsut... background. I liked the album. and i have listened to all there other stuff. just... i dont think it would speak to other people.

"Candy apple red dress bleeding when she kissed me..." (03 January 2009)
Day & Age by The Killers is not as catchy as Hot Fuss or Sam's Town but it's pretty darn close. I was kind of disappointed the first couple of times when I heard this album but by the third listen, the songs became more authentic and irresistible. The only track I cannot get into is the closer, Goodnight, Travel Well - this song is sort of boring and goes nowhere. I have the iTunes version so I have two bonus tracks, Tidal Wave and Forget About What I Said, very good songs, they sound like Hot Fuss leftovers. The best track on Day & Age is hands-down, A Dustland Fairytale, it is beauitful and the music builds and builds as it goes along. Brandon Flowers has an unique voice and his songwriting has vastly improved. The reason why I gave this album four stars is because the melodies aren't as strong and the concept is somewhat sloppy, I love this band so it pains me not to give this album a perfect rating. Tracks that have me dancing are Human, Spaceman, Joy Ride, Losing Touch, and This Is Your Life. If you are a fan of The Killers, get this cd today!

Killers are back! (02 January 2009)
the killers sieze to amaze me with every cd they switch it up and they get better. the best tracks in my opinion are "this is your life" and "spaceman" great cd for anybody who loves the killers.
