| | Customer Reviews: Blood on the Dance Floor CD (03 September 2010)I love everything that Michael sings, however I was surprised at the lyrics of some of the songs on the CD. I didn't think I would like the 'remix' tunes but I've grown to enjoy them also. I MISS YOU MJ !! History in the mix (10 July 2010)Michael Jackson was truly a musical legend, and what better way to honor the late King of Pop than introducing yourself to one of his many hit albums. This one in particular was his first remix album. It includes five new songs "Blood on the Dance Floor", "Morphine", "Superfly Sister", "Ghosts" and "Is it Scary". Remixes include "Scream Louder", "Money", "2 Bad", "This Time Around", "Earth Song", "You Are Not Alone", "Stranger in Moscow" and "HIStory", all remixed from his previous 1995 compilation album "HIStory Book I: Past, Present and Future". By the way, was there ever a Book II, or was this like Mel Brooks' "History of the World Part I"? All good songs, though in the case of the remixes, particularly "Scream Louder", the original "Scream" on HIStory is better in my opinion. These songs are remixed by up-and-coming rap and R&B artists under Michael's supervision. In the last few years there were several other Michael Jackson remix albums that weren't nearly as good in quality as this one. If you don't already own Blood on the Dance Floor: History in the Mix, check it out! MJ fans will love it. Always great works (09 June 2010)For anyone who is a Micheal Jackson fan or for someone who just likes his music this is a must have for your collection. The music is as always amazing. Add To Your Collection (04 May 2010)I remember when this CD first came out. I saw it in the store, picked it up, read the back and then decided not to get it. I figured I already had the cuts on it on other CD's and "really how much more could you do in a re-mix". I ordered this from Amazon when MJ died and have just now been able to listen to it(too saddened by his death). If you do not have this CD please get it. It's one of the last CD's that MJ produced and it is a hip-grinding cruncher. Every single on it is tight, aggressive, thumping, and original in it's re-mix. Blood on the Dance Floor starts it off and if you aren't moving in the middle of it--well then you must be dead because it hits the ground running. Check out the re-mix of Scream with the underlying Sly and The Family Stone's "Thank you fa Lettin' me Be Myself". Just surprising and awesome. It's starts off soft and gentle and in the end it's a teeth grinder. Check out # 10. I couldn't keep still! I'm so sorry that I didn't support this CD when it came out. To make amends I'm posting this review in the hopes that others buy this and discover (again and some more!) just how great a producer and singer MJ was. Also the fabulous Teddy (New Jack Swing "Yup-Yup") Riley is also a producer. Nobody does a thumpin' beat like Teddy. Get this CD, throw it on during a party and watch people tear themselves to bits trying to keep up. You will not be dissapointed. A GREAT ALBUM (27 April 2010)This is a great album of Michael Jacksons. The music is real and dance mix. Blood on the dance floor is a powerful song and the beat can not be beat......If you own his music then this is one album you have to get. You will not be sorry.
