More like UnAlice (09 September 2010)
There are only 3-4 songs that even seem to fit the Alice in Wonderland theme lyrically. Huge disappointment. Nightmare Revisted is a better remake for a Tim Burton movie.

Wow, what a great album! (23 August 2010)
Wow, what a great album! OK, yes, I liked Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, and I think that this album is a great companion to it. Each of the tracks is performed by a different artist, giving the album a wonderfully eclectic sound, which really goes along great with the movie!

This album has so many great tracks, I fell in love with it, and I think that you will too! Give it a spin!!

(Review of Almost Alice by Various Artists)

  wonderfully perfect (10 August 2010)
this is an amazing cd, one of the best i will ever, and have ever listened to. with many different songs and artists and types of music, its a good thing to get if you want to try somthing new. some songs are favorites already (the technicolor phase by owl city) and the others will soon become favorites. theres only one song, that i wouldnt give 5 stars (very good advice by robert smith)but its still maybe a 3 star. amazing artists, amazing music, amazing amazing-ness :) good for teens or anyone who loves alice. most of the songs make you think of a particular part of either the books, the disney movie, or the newer movie that came out a few months ago. definately a great investment

  great album... (09 August 2010)
My brother gave this album to me as a gift because he knew I had enjoyed Tim Burton's interpretation of Alice. Of course, I took to the album so easily because of the film. There are some songs that are particularly awesome including my top three favorites: Painting Flowers, The Poison, and Always Running Out of Time. As mentioned by other reviewers, the album features a diverse mix of contributors ranging from pop to heavy metal artists so some songs take a little getting used to. What I enjoy the most about the album is that most songs just hint at the association to Alice.

  A well crafted gift! (10 July 2010)
When I saw the clips for Tim Burton's movie, I wasn't impressed. When the sountrack came out, I listened to snippets of the songs and became intrigued, so downloaded it. WOW! The songs are not knock offs made to fit the story, but artists familiar with the work. Robert Smith and Franz Ferdinand's contributions stand out the most to me right now, but as other reviewers have stated, the whole album grows on you, and in a good sort of way. ( Being old, I like the remake of White Rabbit. Owl City is a band I need to explore more. ) I'm more desirious of seeing the movie now, and see how the songs intertwine with the film! Get this! It's great!
